Translation into Spanish
GCSE Spanish translation: tense markers, ser/estar, tener for age, gustar structure, accents on preterite, and calque avoidance.

Ayer → preterite. Fui (ir/ser), vi (ver). Adjective after noun.

Translation workflow
Underline time marker. Pick Spanish magnet (ayer, normalmente, el año que viene). Conjugate main verb — no infinitive left. Fix calques: I am 14 → tengo catorce años; I like you → me gustas/me caes bien context-dependent; I am boring vs bored → soy aburrido / estoy aburrido. Two-clause English → two Spanish clauses with y/pero/porque.

Soy quince años; estoy hambre; soy aburrido for bored. Actualmente for actually — use en realidad. Attend escuela → asistir al instituto / ir al instituto. Mucho grande → muy grande. The red big car → el coche rojo grande. Listen to music → escuchar música (no escuchar a unless person).
